The Ceremonial Blessing

On June 13, 1999,
The Prayers, offered during a
Ceremonial Blessing of the "Old Jones Home Place,"
were presided over by Osage Elder, Preston Morrell.
Elder Preston is 85 years old,
and came from out of the rest home to ask these
Prayers, which he spoke in his native tongue.

Some customary Native American dishes
hilighted the feast, and pictured below
are some of the folks who attended.

In all, the Ceremonial, and the feast that followed,
(which was held in the prairie-outdoors, under shade trees)
bestowed some wonderfully peaceful moments,
savored by all, in what is sometimes
otherwise, our non-peaceful, hectic schedules.
